This year, we sheltered over 7,000 animals – we rescued them from abuse and neglect, reunited them with anxious owners, and placed them into new, loving homes. Oftentimes, their care demands costly medical attention, unique behavioral intervention, and months of rehabilitation. As a private, nonprofit organization, this lifesaving work is made possible by your support.

Your tax-deductible gift will support the area of your choice, or you can designate your donation to our general fund and we’ll put it where the animals need it the most.

Escondido Humane Society’s resources – veterinary care, shelter, adoptions, behavioral training, education, and pet therapy – are supported solely by our generous donors who make a difference in the life of animals in need every day. As a private 501 (c)(3) organization, Tax ID 95-1661662, we receive no funds from the state or any other organization. Your generosity ensures that our animals have a safe, healthy place to call their own until they find a permanent home.

A donor has stepped forward to ensure a very bright future for the Escondido Humane Society and the many animals in its care. The donor is launching a $1 Million Match Challenge, asking all in the community to step forward and support the Humane Society with the promise of doubling their life-changing investment for the animals up to $1 million. If every dollar is raised, $1 million will equal $2 million for animals awaiting a home at the shelter, as well as the thousands more who come to the shelter every year needing a safe haven and loving care.
