The volunteer team at the Escondido Humane Society (EHS) is an essential component to the success of our center. EHS volunteers contribute in a variety of ways - they are an indispensable part of our community events, outreach programs, and the daily well-being of animals in our care.
We rely on volunteers to staff mobile adoption units, assist with fundraising events, walk and care for animals at our center, help with the day–to-day services offered to the community, and more.
Volunteering can work around your schedule and talents. Consider joining our dedicated group of volunteers and help animals - hands-on.
You must be 18 years or older to volunteer at EHS. If you are under 18 and are looking for ways to help animals in need, check out our Community Kids 'n Kritters program by clicking
Another opportunity for kids younger than 18 is to help foster an animal in need. For more information, call Adult Dog Foster Care Coordinator Julie Herman at (760) 594-7605 or
