ESCONDIDO HUMANE SOCIETY RE-LAUNCHES
PAWS CLUB, JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
ESCONDIDO, CA— December 16, 2002— If you’ve been shopping for a unique and
meaningful gift this holiday season, look no further. The Escondido Humane Society (EHS) has
announced the re-launch of their PAWS Membership Club, the proceeds of which
helps save the lives of animals in need. Following a 22 month hiatus, the annual
membership program is back and with a whole new set of rewards.
EHS Board Chairman Wayne Templin
says, “The re-launch of this program is another significant milestone in the
Escondido Humane Society’s recovery from the fire.” The program was placed on hold indefinitely
after fire destroyed the EHS shelter in January 2001. Construction is currently underway on the new
facility and expected to complete this spring.
New PAWS benefits include special “members
only” affairs, discount coupons on pet services and discounts at the EHS retail
shop. Membership starts at $35 a year for the “Copper Paw” and goes up to
$1,000 a year for the “Diamond Paw”.
PAWS membership is open to all individuals and organizations wishing to
support EHS’s efforts to save and care for animals in need.
All support raised from PAWS Club will allow EHS to
continue adoption programs, spay & neutering, pet therapy and humane
education. For information on PAWS
membership, contact EHS’s Development Director, Terri Rodgers at (760) 839-7986
or visit our web site at www.escondidohumanesociety.org.
