Humane Education: Learning to Care, Caring to Learn

Our Humane Education programs challenge students, teachers and community groups to examine and renew their relationships with animals, through interactive educational activities such as games, problem solving stories, thought provoking videos and music. All educational presentations include a visit by at least one of our live animal "educators".

Foster Care

There are times when animals in our care need special attention before they can be adopted. Medically vulnerable animals, underage kittens and puppies and animals that need extra training and socializing are all candidates for fostering. Find out about how this program is administered, and the expectations and guidelines that are provided to our fostering volunteers.

Fundraising Programs

We are always in need of financial resources in order to support The Escondido Humane Society and its programs. Learn more about our efforts, current fundraising programs and ways to contribute!

Mobile Adoptions

Mobile Adoptions take place at locations other than our shelter. Various businesses and Corporations provide the space and opportunity for us to find new homes for our animals. You may find us at Farmers Markets, Street Fairs, Malls, Car Dealerships, etc. This gives us more outlets for adoptions and added exposure for our organization
