Community Outreach

Our humane education and pet therapy programs rely on the unconditional love of shelter animals to reach children, the elderly and those who are disconnected from society. Our education animals range from bearded dragons to a Pygmy goat. The animals visit local schools, retirement homes and youth groups. Shelter animals play a vital role in enhancing the bond between humans and animals.

Beyond our Education Program, the Escondido Humane Society works closely with other community organizations. We provide job skill development opportunities, volunteer opportunities and animal welfare information to our community.
