Animals that are found within the city limits of Escondido and San Marcos are kept at this facility. If an animal was found outside of our jurisdiction we transfer the animal to the facility with jurisdiction over the area where the animal was found.

Most animals found outside of our jurisdiction that are brought to our facility are within the jurisdiction of San Diego County Animal Control and are transfered to the North County Shelter located at 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad, CA 92009. (760) 438-2312 / (760) 746-7307
