Not every animal will become available for adoption. Some animals will be reunited with their owners, some may go to foster homes and others may not be suitable for adoption. The Escondido Humane Society does not place holds on stray animals or notify the public when a specific animal becomes available for adoption. Note: Lost animals eight weeks and under, and nursing mothers are not viewable from on our web site. If you have lost a pet meeting this description please contact the Escondido Humane Society.

If you have searched our web site for your lost pet and have not found your pet, we recommend that you contact the Escondido Humane Society. We will check our records for animals that were reported as found by the public and the status of animals brought to the Escondido Humane Society within the past seven days.
