Volunteer Requirements
- Attend a volunteer orientation prior to working
- Commit to volunteering for a duration of six months
- Commit to scheduled volunteer times (based on your schedule and our needs)
- Attend training for each job worked
- Follow all training protocols
- Follow volunteer policies and procedures
- Report all animal bites immediately when they occur
- Purchase a volunteer t-shirt, and wear it when volunteering (or wear a volunteer badge)
- Meet the minimum age requirements
- You must be 13 years or older to volunteer at EHS. If you are between the ages of 13 and 16 you must be accompanied by an adult (a person 18 years or older, related to you – such as a parent, or sibling). If you are 16 years or older you can volunteer at EHS without personal adult supervision.
Volunteer Prerequisites
To become an EHS volunteer you need to attend a volunteer orientation, complete a volunteer application form during the meeting or afterwards, and train for each job assignment.
